It is important to conserve the environment as it is the key to the existence of life. If our surrounding is filthy, then it may lead to various health disorders. Therefore, it is our prime duty to take care of the environment. Our environment provides us with the air which all the living things need for the survival. Air consists of various types of gases. Out of which oxygen is an important key to the survival of any human. Therefore, fresh air is an important component of the environment.

Awareness about the healthy environment should be spread among the people especially the children as they are the future of our next generation. They should be about the importance of the environment for the survival of any human. They should know that environment provides all the natural services required for the humans. Food, shelter, clothing are the three basic amenities which the environment provides.

We can protect the environment by using the biodegradable substances so that our environment is sustained for the future use. Biodegradable substances are those substances which are easily decomposed or broken down by the various microorganisms. The easy decomposition of these substances helps in making the environment safe by making it less harmful. In school children should be motivated to use stainless steel lunch boxes instead of the plastic ones. As stainless steel is a biodegradable substance while plastic is a non-biodegradable substance.
